Gianni Bregonzio

Gianni Bregonzio is a Switzerland-based musician, DJ and producer from St. Moritz, active as a drummer, percussionist, DJ and music producer. Fluent in Italian, German, Romansh and English, he combines a broad musical background with a strong creative vision, aiming to design musical and cultural experiences that connect people beyond genres and formats.

He is currently a student at the Lyceum Alpinum Zuoz, where he plays drums in all school bands and ensembles. Alongside his academic path, Gianni is an active live musician and performs with the family band Swing Over The Pop.

As a drummer and percussionist, Gianni has been active since 2018, developing versatility across a wide range of styles including Rock, Rock ’n’ Roll, Funk, Soul, Blues, Jazz, Swing, Indie, Pop, Country, Afrobeat, as well as Italian and Spanish music. This rhythmic foundation strongly shapes his approach as a DJ and producer, giving his sets and productions a musical, dynamic and performance-oriented character.

In 2023, Gianni began performing as a DJ, focusing on electronic music with strong groove and cultural depth. His DJ sets range from House, Disco and Funky House to Afro House, Afro Tech House, Ancestral Afro House, Tech House, Techno, Melodic and Peak-Time Techno, as well as Nu-Jazz and Electro-Jazz, always adapting to the context and audience.

Since 2024, he has been actively developing his skills as a music producer, initially focusing on EDM and gradually expanding toward more hybrid and personal electronic sounds.

Beyond music, Gianni has a solid background in video editing and cinematography. Between 2019 and 2023, he worked as a video editor for some of the most well-known Italian YouTubers, collaborating on channels with over 4 million subscribers. Although now less active in this field, visual storytelling, rhythm and narrative remain central elements in his creative approach.

Looking ahead, Gianni plans to continue his academic and artistic development by pursuing further studies at the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK), while simultaneously building long-term projects in music and event culture.

Among these is JUNO, an event organization founded in 2025 together with a partner, currently in development and based in St. Moritz. JUNO focuses on curated electronic music events, strong artistic identity and carefully designed experiences.

Gianni believes in continuous learning, cross-disciplinary thinking and music as a tool for connection. He is always open to collaborations, creative projects and new opportunities, bringing fresh energy, structure and vision to every performance and initiative.
